Digha Beach:

Digha beach is the most visited beach located in the East Midnapore district of the state. The beach is divided into two parts, The New Digha Beach and the Old Digha Beach. The Old Digha Beach has most of the tourists to itself for it encompasses the unmatched natural beauty; the New Digha Beach is mainly for the couples who are looking for privacy. The beach is famous for shifting its shoreline during the course of the day as in the morning the tides start rising towards the land and the beach area that can be experienced is larger while as the dusk sets the sea draws its water back. The best time to visit is from July to March. The nearest airport to the city is located in Kolkata. The place is well connected to all major cities by rail and road transport.

Mandarmani Beach:

Mandarmani beach is a popular beach in East Midnapore district of the state. The main attraction here is the 13 km long motorable beach road. You can also find here red crabs crawling around. It is also known to be the longest drive in beach in India. The primary attraction that the beach offers its tourists is the picturesque beauty of the sea from early morning to late afternoon. From 3 PM onwards, people head out near Rose Valley Hotels where beach bikes, ropeway etc. can be availed. Here, you can also find many shops selling shells, handmade jewellery and handicrafts.

Tajpur Beach:

Tajpur beach is a virgin beach between Digha and Mandarmani. The beach is visited by a number of tourists because of its convenient location. This sea beach has an unusual shape an inverted Crescent shape, which gives an unusual panoramic view of the sea. The main tourist attractions here are the virgin sea shores surrounded by Casuarina Groves and Keya flower shrubs, the river mohona and fishermen villages.

Shankarpur Beach:

Shankarpur beach is located near to Digha beach at about 14 kms. The wide virgin beach is one of the best holiday tourist spots of the state. The place has pleasant climate throughout the year. The Shankarpur Fishing Harbour Project developed by West Bengal Govt is the main attraction. The sea is safe for swimming. You can also find here Hermit Crabs.

Bakkhali Beach:

Bakkhali beach is the most visited beach of the state. The view of sunrise and sunset on this beachside is really a lifetime experience. The reserve forest, engine canal, and the mangroves attract travellers.  The other worth visiting places is the tortoise project, crocodile project, and the deer park. It has a 7 km extended seashore stretch from Bakkhali to Frasergunj. From Kolkata it is convenient to reach Namkhana and from there cross the Hatania Doania river by boat and after that there is a journey by road to reach the beach.
