Bekal fort: This fort is one of the main attractions of the district. Bekal Fort is spread over more than 40 acres of area. The important features of this fort are the water-tank with its flight of steps, the tunnel, and the broad steps leading to the Observation Tower. This fort is about 300 years old. This has been constructed in the 1690's during the period of Sivappa Nayak.

Ananthapura Lake Temple: This is the only lake temple which is located in Kerala and considered as the Moolasthanam (original seat) of Ananthapadmanabha Swami. The temple is about 5 kms far from Kumbla.

Chandragiri Fort: The Fort is located at a distance of 10 kms from Bekal. This was constructed by Immadi Narasimha Yadavaraya. Later on the Fort was renovated in the 17th century by the Vijayanagara Kings. The Fort is built in an amazing architectural style.

Adoor: The place is located around 45 kilometers east of the district. The place is well known for its famous ancient Siva Temple founded by Arjuna. It is believed that, this is the place where Kiratha Yuddham battle between Arjuna and Lord Siva took place.

Ananthapura Lake Temple: It is the only lake temple which is located in Kerala and is known as the Moolasthanam (original seat) of Ananthapadmanabha Swami and also famous as Sri Padmanbha Swami Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. This temple is almost 5 km far from Kumbla.

Another main tourist attraction in Bekal is Houseboat Cruise. You will be able to enjoy a cruise all along the palm fringed backwaters located in the Malabar region.

The nearest airport to Kasargod is Mangalore at about 70 kms. Kasargod is well connected by rail and road transport.
