Vanake-Abbey Falls: This is a small waterfall located about 4 Kms from Agumbe. This is a picturesque picnic spot as well as an amazing sunset point also.

Achakanya Falls: Achakanya falls is just 10 km from Thirthahalli. The river Sharavathi takes a spectacular leap here form this wonderful falls.

Ambutheertha: The place is located 10 kms from Thirthahalli. From here the river Sharavathi originates. There exists a belief here that this is the place where the Lord Rama broke a bow to win the hand of Sita. You can find here a Shivalinga also.

Balligave: This place was once capital of Kedara rulers. It is located 80 kms from Shimoga. The main attractions here are Keshareshwara temple, Panchalinga temple, Thripuramthakeshwara, Kaithaleshwara and the Veerashaiva mutt.

Bandalike: This place is located about 35 kms to the north of Shikaripura. The main attractions here are temples. Some of the main temples here are  Shanthinath Basadi, Someshwara Threemurthi and Sahasralinga temple.

Bhadra Dam: The dam is located 28 Kms from Shimoga constructed across the river Bhadra. The main attractions here are the aqua farms and the electricity generating station.
