Industrial Tour of Gujarat

As a part of promoting development Gujarat Government is launching a new concept of tourism ie; Industrial tourism. This type of tours is common in China & Germany as, Industrial majors, but this is the first time that a State Government is promoting Industrial Tourism. This tour package is named Industrial Tour of Gujarat. The tour package will cover major industrial installations in Gujarat which have earned global applause for the State.

The major attractions of the tour package will include a visit to Tata Nano Plant in Sanand, Pipavav Port near Amreli, Alang ship breaking yard in Bhavnagar and Amul Diary in Anand. This has been offered by Gujarat Government’s official tour agency Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) in collaboration with the agency’s official partner Ahmedabad based Akshar Travels Pvt Ltd.

The main objective of this unique tour package is promoting industrial development of Gujarat and also to make people aware about the actual scale of industries flourishing in the State.

Tourists can choose the places they want to visit from various options available which include Sanand based Tata Nano Plant, Morbi – based Ceramic Industry, Asia’s biggest Ajanta Clock factory, Reliance Refinery in Jamnagar, Tata Chemicals factory in Mithapur, Ship breaking yard in Alang, Pipavav port, Asian Paints plant in Ankleshwar, Arwind Mills in Ahmedabad, Salt Pans near Okha, and many more other destinations.

The packages also include a visit to Kadi in Mehsana (Cotton Industry), world famous Surat diamond & textile industry, and plastic industry in Hazira. The necessary support for organizing these tours is provided by Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd.

The tour package can be customized as per tourist requirement. For a five day trip it may cost up to Rs 20,000/-.
