Saheed Minar was formerly known as Octerloney Monument. The Minar is situated near Esplanade on the Kolkata Maidan. Its foundation is based on the Egyptian style, whereas the main Shahid Minar in Calcutta and its dome follow Syrian and Turkish designs. By standing at the top of the minar, you will get an excellent view of the hub city of Kolkata.
Marble palace: This palace was built in 1835 by Rajendra Mallick. It is a beautiful art gallery. The palace houses the marvelous objects of art, sculptures, pictures & oil paintings. Howrah Bridge: The Bridge is located over the Hoogli River. It is the busiest bridge of the world. It connects the city of Howrah to Calcutta. Hawrah Bridge is also known by the name 'Rabindra Setu'. It was set up in 1874. It stands on two 270 feet high pillars.
Eden Garden: This is a cricket stadium in Kolkata. This is the largest cricket stadium in India by seating capacity. It is widely acknowledged as one of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world.
Birla planetarium: It is one of the largest museums in Asia. This is a wonderful center of science, communication & environment. It is situated at the Eastern metropolitan bypass of Calcutta.
