Khandala is a hill station in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. This hill station is located very near to Lonavala just about 3 kms. There are many sightseeing spots in this place. Tiger's Leap: By carefully observing this spot it will appear like a tiger is leaping into the valley that’s why the place got this name. This is one of the must visit places of Khandala. For watching the panoramic view of the valley there are special arrangements made for the tourists. Tourists can enjoy the beauty of the valley from the safe boundaries of a big hole from this point. The place is also known as Tiger's Point. This is a cliff-top with a sheer drop of over 650 m, giving an extensive view. If you are visiting this place during monsoon, then you can see a small waterfall active just around tiger's leap. Adventure lovers can trek down the stream.

Amrutanjan Point: The spot is situated at the starting point of the Khandala Ghat. This point is considered as one the most popular scenic spots offering picturesque view of the valley as well as the Duke’s Nose.

Duke's Nose: The cliff owes its name to the Duke of Wellington, as he had a pointed nose which it resembles. The place is also known locally as Naagphani (Cobra's Hood). It is situated about 12 kms from the city. This is a popular spot in Lonavala for hiking. The place attracts tourists with its natural beauty and mountain climbing trails.

Reversing Station: The Reversing Station once belonged to the Railways, but now it is unused. The city of Khopoli and the nearby regions are visible from here. It is illuminated with hundreds of lights at night. The route near Khandala sunset point and khopoli has been there since centuries used to connect the coastal cities like Sopara to Pune.

Karla and Bhaja Cave: These are historical rock cut caves, situated about 16 kms from Khandala. These caves belong to the Hinayana sect of Buddhism. This is a complex of cave shrines built by Buddhist monks around 3rd to 2nd century B.C. The Karla Cave, the largest Early Buddhist shrine in India, is a good example of ancient wooden architecture.  The Bhaja Cave complex comprises of 18 caves and 14 stupas. These are one of the oldest & finest examples of early Buddhist temple art in India. The famous temple of Goddess Ekvira Devi is also present here.

Bhushi Lake: This is a beautiful picnic spot in Khandala enriched with natural beauty. The beautiful greenery of the surroundings of the lake and crystal clear water provides immense opportunities for the tourists to have an excellent holiday. The Bhushi dam in this lake is a popular tourist spot.
