Lakshadweep Entry Permit and other Mandatory Documents

Formalities required for visiting Lakshadweep

» Traveller should obtain an Entry permit prescribed under the LM&A (Restriction of entry & residence) Rule 1967.

» The Entry permit form should be filled in completely and submitted to the Administrator, Lakshadweep Office, Willington Island, Kochi – 3.

» Fee of Rs. 50/- per application to be remitted at the office of the Administrator, UT of Lakshadweep, Willingdon island,   Kochi - 3, by cash or by DD on any Syndicate Bank branch.

» The traveller should submit the entry permit after his arrival in the Island as soon as possible in any case within 24 hours to the nearest Registration Oficer (Station House Officer).

» On return from tour, the said order should be surrendered to the Administrator, Kochi.

Documents to be submitted before the Administrator

» Police Clearance Certificate obtained from the Commissioner of Police of the residing District

» Original ID proof bearing Signature. (It is always better to carry one more ID proof such as Aadhaar or Election ID) & self attested photocopy of ID card for each traveller.

» 3 Passport size photographs.

» Your nearest Police station address and telephone number.

Who all can visit Lakshadweep?

» Indian travellers are permitted to all Lakshadweep Islands.

» Foreign tourists having valid Passport and Visa for visiting India, can visit the Islands of Agatti, Kadmat and International Tourist Resort of Bangaram, with permission of Administrator.

» Foreign Nationals permitted by the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs for official purposes can also visit these Islands.
